About Our Golden Retrievers

We have owned golden retrievers for the past 20 years. It all started when our 4 boys were young and wanted a dog. We met a beautiful, friendly relaxed golden at a family reunion found out he had siblings coming and signed up! That pup was born in Montana. We decided Montana was a perfect, rugged boy name for our first dog. Montana lived with us for many years in our city home in Plymouth but thrived with walks and runs at the park across the street. He spent many happy hours in our electric fenced, partly wooded yard. During his senior years, Montana enjoyed a country home with all the rest of us. Mom used him as her “personal trainer” for many 3-5 mile walks in the country. Finally after almost 15 years, we laid Montana to rest right here on the farm. During his last year his eyesight failed, his hearing dimmed and he rested on the deck a lot. He was still able to walk slowly. All that to describe for you the life cycle of one of the best breed of family dog! In 2015 we took the plunge with another puppy named Luther. In 2019 Ginger joined our family.
